Virtual: Touched by Nature Introduction to Shinrin Yoku Forest Bathing 1.5 hours
Have you been “Touched by Nature”?
Are you craving that connection again?
Nature heals all: body, mind, and spirit.
Join us for a reflection of Nature’s way of nurturing. In this virtual introduction to Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing or nature therapy), we shall escape and share experiences beyond your backyard as we “Experience Virtually: Outdoor Live” in and near Acadia National Park.
We shall end our Shinrin-Yoku mindful journey with a cup of tea, as we reflect and share in the conversation. Participants should find a comfortable place to sit without interruptions. Preferably sit or lay near a sunny window with a view of nature.
We may stand and move slightly to sense what is near us. Headphones help enhance the senses and overall experience. Colorful pictures of nature or indoor plants/foods within arm’s reach are helpful props. Please have a thermos of your warm tea to enjoy at the end and a healthy snack if you wish.
FREE: Bar Harbor Blueberry Tea for guests registered at least 1 week prior.
Presented by Sandy Fortin, Certified Association of Forest and Nature Therapy Guide, Quality Life Consultant, and Alternative Healing Practitioner of Energy Elements.
Sandy will share basic Shinrin-Yoku techniques and tips so you may practice at home in your backyard and far beyond.
This free event will be online via Zoom and is open to all.
